The second meeting of 40 UNDER 40 took place in Rome from 2 to 5 July 2014. 40 UNDER 40 is a programme led by EruopaNova and Friend of Europe aimed at promoting a European identity by involving 40 of the most promising citizens of the EU aged under 40 in initiatives that will shape the future of Europe.
This programme was launched in 2011 with the support of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission.
During the meeting that was held in the Italian capital city at stunning Palazzo Farnese, young European leaders had the opportunity to meet and share views with Sandro Gozi, Undersecretary of State at the Council of Ministers, Paul Taylor, European Affairs Editor for Thomson Reuters, and Alain Le Roy, French Ambassador to Italy
Michel Barnier, European Commissioner for the Internal Market and Services, and Mgr. Robert Murphy, Diplomat of the Vatican Secretariat of State, also participated in the sessions.
