On Monday 14 July at 10:00 A.M., the first AGRIFISH Council of the six-month Italian Presidency of the EU Council takes place at Justus Lipsius building (Rue de la Loi 175), in Brussels.
Works of Agriculture and Fisheries Ministers are coordinated by the Italian Minister for Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policy, Maurizio Martina.
During the meeting, the Italian Semester programme for the sector of agriculture and fisheries is presented. The following items on the agenda are: policies related to organic farming, the dairy sector and Fishing Opportunities for 2015.
Food fraud, food controls and Fisheries Partnership Agreements with Morocco and Mauritania are the other topics under discussion.
After the conclusion of works a press conference is scheduled at 6:30 P.M. The next meeting of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council under the Italian Presidency, will take place on 13 and 14 October in Luxembourg.
