From 9 to 11 December Bari hosts the Regional Aquaculture Conference 2014, “Blue Growth in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea: developing sustainable aquaculture for food security”. The conference will deal with economic, social, environmental challenges and with the sustainable development of aquaculture in the Mediterranean region and in the Black Sea.
The event is organized by the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union together with the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and in cooperation with the European Commission. Experts, representatives of the institutions, stakeholders and countries are called upon to exchange their experiences and analyse synergies and opportunities for future cooperation.
