Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September are the European Heritage Days, involving 50 countries in September.
Conceived in 1991 by the Council of Europe and the European Commission, it is an opportunity to rediscover cultural, artistic and landscape treasures of the countries that signed the European Cultural Convention.
It will be possible to visit numerous museums and artistic sites in Italy at the symbolic prize of 1 euro until 24 September.
Moreover, for the occasion, the MiBACT, the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, in collaboration with the local authorities, committed to organise over 800 events, such as concerts, extraordinary openings hours, shows and guided tours.
The Days will not only be an opportunity to admire our cultural heritage, but also represent a key to show it to citizens coming from other countries and enhance local riches.
Visit the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities website to check the list of the Italian museums and events.
Visit the Council of Europe’s website to discover all initiatives, dates and places of the different countries.
