Monday 10 November, Council meeting of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Ministers
Focus on: measures supporting young farmers, Russian ban on EU peaches, fishing opportunities for 2015/16

The Agriculture and Fisheries (Agrifish) Council meeting will take place in Brussels on Monday 10 November and will be chaired by Minister Maurizio Martina staring from 10:00 A.M. If needed, the meeting will be extended to the next day, Tuesday 11.

The EU Agriculture and Fisheries Ministers will focus on a number of topics, among which: reaching a political agreement on fishing opportunities for 2015 and 2016 for certain deep-sea stocks, the draft general budget 2015 of the EU,  Cyprus tax exemption of motor fuel for agriculture, the Russian ban on peaches and nectarines from the EU. The Presidency will then brief the EU Ministers on possible measures to support young farmers .

A press conference will be held at around 5:15 P.M. If needed, another press conference would be organised at the end of the second day.
