Agriculture and Fisheries Council on 13/14 October in Luxembourg
Topics under debate include fishing opportunities, Russian embargo on EU fisheries products, review of Europe 2020 Strategy for agriculture

The meeting of the 28 Ministers responsible for Agriculture and Fisheries, chaired by the Italian Minister Maurizio Martina, takes place on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 October in Luxembourg.
The first day is devoted to the issues relating to the common fisheries policy. Topics under discussion include the Russian embargo on fisheries products and fishing opportunities in the Baltic sea.
On Tuesday the Agriculture Ministers will take stock on agriculture in the light of the review of Europe 2020 Strategy and agricultural aspects of the policy framework for climate and energy for the period 2020-2030
A press conference is scheduled following the Council.

The next Agriculture and Fisheries Council during the six-month Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union will be held on 10 and 11 November.
