Conference on Bioeconomy on 8 and 9 October in Turin
The Italian Minister of Education Giannini and the EU Commissioner for Research Màire Geoghegan-Quinn are attending the Conference

The Conference on Bioeconomy will be held on 8 and 9 October at the Conference Centre of the Chamber of Commerce of Turin and will gather European stakeholders to discuss the sectors’ critical matters and prospects for developing. The aim is to increase the integration of the concept of bioeconomy into European policies through a sustainable use of renewable biological resources, in line with the EU strategy.

The specific issues of the bioeconomy sector will be addressed during the seven satellite events of the Conference. The Italian Minister of Education, Universities and Research, Stefania Giannini, and the EU Commissioner for Research and Innovation,
Màire Geoghegan-Quinn, will open the Conference.
