#EPSCO

The Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council (EPSCO) works in a number of areas including social protection, work, consumer protection, health and equal opportunities. EPSCO works to improve the quality of life of the citizens by promoting employment creation, a high level of social protection, protection of health and consumers’ interests. Depending on the items on the agenda, EPSCO brings together ministers responsible for employment, social affairs, health or consumer policy from all EU member states. Relevant European Commissioners also participate in meetings. The EPSCO Council generally meets four times a year. Two of the meetings are usually dedicated exclusively to employment and social policy. #EPSCO
